Did we mention the beach is right around the corner?
Yes. Yes, we did. And we’re doing it again!
A 3 to 5 minute walk is all it takes to put your beach towel down on the sand of Mangel Halto beach and dip into that blue Caribbean ocean.
During the weekend you will also find the locals enjoying Mangel Halto.
This beach is a prime location for scuba diving and snorkeling.
Guides will pick up their customers over at the big hotels and drive them down to Mangel Halto, rather than use the waters right in front of the hotels.
We can provide you with water shoes, snorkeling equipment and flippers.
Mangrove
Mangel Halto is the only beach on Aruba surrounded by mangrove trees that is easily accessible. It offers a much more natural feel than the bare beaches overlooked by towering buildings over at the hotel strip.
The mangrove trees do more than just protect Mangel Halto’s coastline. They also offer sanctuary from the midday sun.
You will find several cabanas across the beach that provide some shade. There is also a small kiosk where you can get drinks and snacks.
Water
The waters around Mangel Halto drop off very gradually. You can venture out into the water a fair distance and still feel the sand under your feet.
Be advised that Mangel Halto’s shores are covered in smaller and larger rocks. Water shoes are recommended. We have several in different sizes we can lend you. Supermarkets in the area will also sell new pairs if you prefer.
